"To spears!" a man bellowed from a balcony. "Doran!" called some highborn voice. "To the spears!" Hotah gave up looking for the speakers; the press was too thick, and a third of them were shouting. "To spears! Vengeance for the Viper!" By the time they reached the third gate, the guards were shoving people aside to clear a path for the prince's litter, and the crowd was throwing things. A Feast For Crows

In Dorne the spear is a warrior’s most important weapon, nobles and smallfolk alike train with the spear from childhood. The people of Dorne are quick to arms & their spear levies are a key part of Dorne's military strength. Shown here is a group of spearmen equipped from Manfry martell’s own armoury, bearing liveried shields.

“The fabled sand steeds of Dorne were smaller than proper warhorses and could not bear such weight of armor, but it was said that they could run for a day and night and another day, and never tire.” Storm of Swords

Men from the deep deserts of Dorne mounted on sand steeds are the finest outriders and scouts available to any commander in westeros. As tireless and resilient as their mounts, they are capable of enduring hunger, thirst, sandstorms, scorching heat, the bitter cold of desert nights and still launch surprise attacks on enemy formations.

For Miantanomo,

"Stannis Baratheon, Lord of Dragonstone and by the grace of the gods rightful heir to the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, was broad of shoulder and sinewy of limb, with a tightness to his face and flesh that spoke of leather cured in the sun until it was as tough as steel. Hard was the word men used when they spoke of Stannis, and hard he was..... [he] kept his own whiskers cropped tight and short. They lay like a blue-black shadow across his square jaw and the bony hollows of his cheeks. His eyes were open wounds beneath his heavy brows, a blue as dark as the sea by night. His mouth would have given despair to even the drollest of fools; it was a mouth made for frowns and scowls and sharply worded commands, all thin pale lips and clenched muscles, a mouth that had forgotten how to smile and had never known how to laugh.

Shown here is Stannis Baratheon, in plain and functional plate armour. (grinding his teeth)

You're the best, Biomenace! I love it!

Like the house Manderly Sargent.

Boasting rich silver mines &  huge trading port, White harbour is the largest & wealthiest settlement in the North. Unlike the other Northern Lords House Manderly of White Harbour has the resources to maintain large standing bodies of men.
