1/1200 Victory at Sea
« on: March 24, 2015, 07:31:34 AM »
I pulled these together ages ago
All plastic kits, mostly Airfix with a few Revell chucked in.
The planes are 1/700. Lots of conversions of the capital stuff

British fleet

Jerry Fleet

HMS Hood, Ark Royal and Warspite

Jerry Big lads, plus converted Graf Zeppelin in the background

I really enjoyed the challenge of trying to make the various Airfix kits look like different ships.
My favourite is the Warspite which is 3 sections glued together.

Very nice! I was tempted to do a 1/1200 fleet as well, in the end I chickened out and went 1/2400...
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - http://www.adpublishing.de

I didn't think about the kriegsmarine flag with the swastika showing. Very sorry about that. No offence meant. I'll take a new photo of the German navy with flags covered.

Beautiful! Really nice work! I'd love to see the details of the conversions you did to make this lot as some of it looks really inventive. Watch those flags though!

Steders,

Very very beautiful!
Question, on what size of board do you play with a 1/1200 fleet?
