Indeed, I'll certainly be borrowing that idea for a corner (or maybe edge) beach piece.

I'd missed that until now: yep, a clever use of sand dunes.  8). Well done Frede.

What would you like to see?

I buildt it as per the instructions in the box and then attacked it savagely with a dremel to waterline it. In hindsight I should have probably done some form of measuring and marking beforehand. It would have saved me a lot of sanding later.

I glued some plasticard in the bottom to help with stability and hide some visible holes.

I can't remember if it was here or somewhere else where I saw a guy who placed the ship in some sand, under coated it and cut away the unpainted bit. With my next ship I am going to try that.
