Your collection is looking incredible. I have to say that is also a most attractive (is that the word I'm wanting?) dung heap.

There's like what? 1,5 Hail Caesar units there...  lol

Unless you're going for a different scale than in the rulebook.

No I am thinking 6 units foot and one cavalry. For Hail Caesar it is not the numbers that count but the frontage. Around 100 troops is quite accurate to portray most Dark age "battles" I feel.

Movement trays are of course needed if I keep the single bases. I have been eying the Warbases ones. And it will probably end there. But I do like the diorama like things you can do with multi bases.

I am afraid there is still quite a Dung gap between Dr. The Viking and myself. He has stepped up the game by building a modern manure container (or whatever those big round things are called in English)

OK. I does look slightly underwhelming though. We should go for at least 200 models a side. lol

And what kind of buildings will be we treated with? :D

I have some GB resin buildings and a blacksmith from Kobblestone. That will make a nice little settlement. And who knows perhaps a dungheap or two...

What do we call big round things filled with manure?

I completely forgot about this thread! So this is a cross post from my workbench thread - sorry about that.

I have finally finished my Hail Ceasar conversion bases. Most/all my minis are single based but since I was recently quite hooked on playing Hail Ceasar I needed some movement trays. I bought some 3x2 bases from warbases but thought my minus looked a bit lonely on them so I glued in some fillers. This is the result.

Oh and I painted up some horsies too.

Lovely stuff. I'm liking your use of bright colour highlights to make them pop (the stone, the leader, some of the shields).

All the shields in these fotos apart from one are little big men transfers. The red one with the birdy on it is done by hand and the only one I can really take blame/credit for.

It was that one (and the other red/white one) I was referring to in particular.

Third unit done. Now they just need a commander and they are ready for the field.

Great looking units. That idea with the extra figures on the unit bases is genius, allowing casualties to be removed, and allowing most to be used in skirmish games too. Thanks for sharing
