Making a wheat field from cloth/fabric for 6mm?
« on: April 11, 2015, 08:04:01 AM »
I was researching how to make small scale bocage hedrerows when I came across this fellow's gallery on Photobucket. I can't locate the thread that I found it in, but here is his gallery:

I specifically want to know what I can use to replicate this (hay?) field – it looks like something you can toss onto a regular game mat. Is this something I can wander down to JoAnn's Fabric and find?

It looks a lot like a flocking mat I picked up from a model railway shop.   I would so a search for corn fields on a model railway website.

Could just be a fur mat ... certainly worth looking in fabric shops. Sometimes they sell the off-cuts cheap as well.

I not sure if this is the same guy but I saw this question elsewhere and the corn fields are from Busch

See here on TMP for info on the fields(if you dont mind that site)

I use Busch ones as well for 6mm and they look the same as these guys.
