I'm back working on this project and I've finished a couple more cars. In the last update I started on my Holy Roller faction for Outrider and here is the first two painted cars.

Interceptor

I've very happy with how this came out and the bright orange has come out well

Raider
Another bright colour scheme which makes a change from the Outlaw cars. I could have done another coat of gold on these two as it is a bit thin.

Hmm I just looked at these again and realised the gold on the crosses could do with another coat.

More soon as I got some of these fences (4ground Yard Panel Fencing (with gates)) and pimped them.

Another update on this slow burning project.

I picked up these these fences (4Ground Yard Panel Fencing (with gates) with the intention of just giving them a quick slap of paint and basing them, instead of my usual long winded scratch building and tweaking. However as I looked closer at them I didn't like the way the wood grain was laser cut so I decided to add some different wood grain. For this I used some caulk (pretty much my go to modelling material for basing) and scrapped it with a knife to create some better wood grain. I also cut the end of the wood panels with a pair of side cutters to make them look rougher and more wore.

And the finished fences. I painted them to look streaky and I mixed up the colours so some panels are different shades of brown/grey to others. I have kept them generic without signs, as I think they will work well for Wild West and lots of other periods.

Cheers

They look very good for MDF. The caulk adds texture.

Love what you've created--both the cars and your terrain kit.

MDF Woodparts always looks a bit flat when they come right out of the lasercutter. I use an old very sturdy Iron wirebrush to texturing the strokes in the wood. You can gibe it a try if you want. Its pretty easy and fast. Non the less, yout fences looks great!

Some pretty awesome looking cars. You've also demonstrated how good MDF terrain can look with a bit of work, top job.

Thanks guys.

I still have more to do on this project - another 6-10 cars, lots of car wrecks, a power station and other bits and pieces.

Its been a while since the last update but I have started back on this project and want to finish it off.

I have finished 2 more cars with some being painted and other under construction. I got some cheap toy cars so i can have more variety in the wheels as I only really had Hot wheels wheels.

Police Interceptor
A Ford Mustang with some improvements in the way of extra fuel tanks (ala Mad Max) bigger wheels and a 1/72 Stug barrel. Just what every car needs a big gun and a fast engine!

Holy Roller's Gunslinger
Based on a Chev Impaler IIRC, with lots added including some big f*&k-off sized rocket launchers. I'm very happy how this came out.

I kept the armour to a minimum  on these mostly because it is time consuming and I'm running out of suitable plasticard!

I hope you like these

Cheers
Kieran

I've completed another 2 cars. Both of these sat on my painting desk for a long time as I struggled to be inspired by them

The Ice Cream van was one of the first models I made but I stuffed up the painting and weathering so I repainted it and re-weathered it ago. Now it looks great and It is a cool model.

The Police Cruiser is a very old matchbox toy which was converted. It stayed half painted for a while as I didn't like how it looked. But i persevered and the final details like the lights and numbers made it look very good.

Another two cars have rolled off the production line

This is a Van (Mule Skinner in Outrider terms). A nice model but I had some work to do to cover the open sides with plasticard. Other modifications were swapping out the wheels, covering the other hole in the top and adding bumpers. The turret is a 15mm WW2 BA-10 Armoured Car turret with a scratchbuilt gatling cannon.

And a Gunslinger for the Outlaw band
A very old Matchbox toy which was crying out to be converted. The wheels were donated to the van above and the back wheels were from the van. I made minimal changes to this model and it looked pretty cool already. BTW the piece on the front is the gun mantle from a 1/72 Panther tank!

Thanks
