:?  give me a minute...I have to take new pictures and wil put something up on the weekend..
Here are the old pics I had posted

the drill

the ether flyer (the boiler actually rotates)

and interior

the jungle temple

and the submarine

Everything was built from plastic card and the temple is high density styro foam
The drill was a bit tricky thats why the actual drill peace is a little bent, but hey ...it just travelled through kilometers of rock (there is a plastic coffee cup in there somewhere

cheers

The answer how to make water...
hm..that is very ancient secret Australian knowledge (you might now we have a severe drought here)
But if you don't tell anybody else I will tell you how simple that was
I will post a picture maybe tomorrow...but here is the trick (dramatic orchestral music)

I found a piece of cloth that had this nice blue wave structure you can see in the picture. Covered the table and put a transparent plastic table cloth on top. The wrinkles in the plastic make a nice wave effect. Then I put MDF pieces (roughly 40x40cm) that are flocked with grass an sanded on the edges on top...and tada!
great water, great beaches! An by leaving gaps between the MDF pieces I can create rivers, islands etc...pics will follow tomorrow

the best thing is the MDF is around 1cm thick so the rivers and water is "lower" than the land. I don't like to put rivers on top of the table.
And as a side effect the cloth prevents scratches on the table...

Hope you understood this ancient technique

AWESOME work!
That Flyer is amazing ( and the Drill and the Submarine and Temple......).
I'll get my mate Fritzy to have a look at these for inspiration for his VSF stuff!
Thanks for sharing.
