Since you loved them, I think it's only natural to let you see the 3 new additions :

I'm really enjoying this gang here and I still have 4 members left to paint although those will be low rankers instead of the officers you've seen here.

You can read the little backstory and some more info about the models on the associated BLOGPOST

Fantastic!

I really must try to get one of those Helmawr figures, all the more so now that I have seen your beautiful take on it.

Loving the assorted weirdos of this gang.

OK thnks guys, you've just unlocked the next 4 with your great comments ! (just need to finish them now)

I'm glad they're ok for you as I feared they'd be a little too over the top with that Rococo debauchery. Let's see if the additionnal members keep that same tone

I really don't think there's an 'over the top' in old school Rogue Trader. Loud colors, huge shoulder pads, studded leather and chains, all the while looking like a bad ass. Damn I miss the 80's.

Beautiful brushwork on some very classy old skool chaps and the fella you made yourself fits in seamlessly.

Indeed there isn't, only thing is that my pinting is not exactly oldschool and I do want my models to be clear enough and "readable". Too much colours or too much details and it can look silly and too little and you lose the flamboyance needed for such characters.
the 80's offered a lot of things and amongst them some very excellent examples of extravagance with coherence. I love it a lot too.

I agree, Michka said it all perfectly, but your paintjob is precisely what makes these minis work the way they do, they keep all the essence but they don't look 'over' (in the 80's sense of the word, I you know what I mean). Your work is a subject of study, it always shocks me :-*

Cheers guys !

I'm realy glad to be able to present you the first of my colony 87 models (got them on sunday night) ans decided to start with the Space frog man (some may want to call them Slanns) :

Sculpted by Michael Anderson, he was a total joy to paint and I'm looking forward to getting the brushes on the others of the range as soon as I've cleared a couple of things from the paintqueue. Those models are unfortunately not available for now as the Kickstarter campaign has already ended but wave 2 is already on tracks !

I've taken a couple more shots and written a little backstory for this guy and you can see all that in the BLOGPOST
