No chance!

Them Iron Claws are forming the basis for a Necromunda gang or two.

Those Iron claw models are indeed wonderful models (the level of detail is just mind blowing really) and such a treat to paint (as all the Bob Olley models I've painted so far). I'll have more to show in a near future ;). For now, let's talk about vertically challenged abhumans AKA squats.

The Heavy Industrialist Union (pioneering comp.) is a group of Squats specialized in scouting, ranging and discovering new places for the good of the Union :

You can learn a bit more about them in the blogpost HERE

While we're at it, I can also add the very last space dwarf ever produced by GW since I've already painted the very first !
More about him in HERE ;)

Phew! I read the thread title and thought it must be another thread about Tony Reidy and Defiance Games.

Nice work btw!

They certainly are.
And thanks to seeing yours mine are finally seeing paint.
Then they can replace the Squat proxies, which incidentally were my last gang for Necromunda a few years ago.
Funnily enough they were Abhumans from a mining colony too.

Since Mason mentionned the Iron claw pirates, I thougt the next warband would be fitting just right in ;)

These are a band of mutants which were inspirred a lot by the Fallout game series (especially the first 2). I've always felt mutants were too often put into a chaotic/evil box when they could be a stable and neutra force. With that in mind I mixed models from various horizons (because in all honesty the idea of linking them only came after I painted a couple of them).
They'll probably get reinfocements as time flies but I like the idea of letting this one grow organically without too much thinking.

- The 4 mutants on the right are Iron claw pirates by Bob Olley and you can learn all you need about them in the blogpost HERE

- The Space minotaur in the middle is a sculpt by Diego Serrate who has recently sculpted some excellent models and who is about to release even more. You can learn about this one HERE.

- Finally the ...thing on the right is a chimera I fixed as a challenge and about which you can read HERE

Lovely!
Wonderful brushwork to compile a truly original gang of Muties.
 :-* :-*

You have inspired me to start my own IC boys yesterday.
Such wonderful sculpts.
As you said:: They almost paint themselves.

Thank you.

Thanks a lot Mason, to be honest, there's another great thing about those : you don't get to see much painted examples which means you can give them your own take without beeing too influenced. I really like your own version of them and how our 2 differ like variations on a theme.

Great stuff! I like a lot the brushwork on the dark redtones in the mutant gang.
