Not sure where he came from but been sitting in my old fantasy box for around 15 years now. Only painted him last week! I think he is a games workshop character but he plastic.

I want him! He's make a great High Priest for Broadsword Adventures.

I think I have several. GW was still selling their old plastic wizards not that many years ago. It's a very stylish figure, but rather poorly moulded like all of the old pre-multipose GW plastics. Lots of undercut problems. That's a very cool paintjob, especially considering what I said above about the dodgy moulding.

@Rich: If you want, I can send you one (given that I indeed have several - I'll have to check). I certainly need to pass forward some favours that other members of the LAF community have done for me.

He is a Games Workshop Light Wizard. The fact that he is plastic means he was from the VERY limited 8 plastic wizards in a box release from several years back. I had a couple of the boxes. They sold for a nice little sum on eBay when i decided i didnt need em any longer. :-) But anyway, the Light Wizards shoudlnt be too hard to find really as long as you dont mind the lead kind. :-)

he was painted the usual way i paint. Tho i did a bit of experimenting with the new gw washes. His flesh was painted the way that jollybob came up with in dodge's thread about painting flesh.

I agree that the model is a little badly cast but for a plastic model of that age it is a peice of art! I have some of the other models from this range (a druid and other wizards) so will give them a go. I got told by a friend that they may come from the talisman range!

They were indeed from the Talisman game, but they were later released in the box Rhoderic and Grimnar mentioned. Very nice piantjob, though I'm pretty sure the metal model would look a bit better
