Re: Hat Guy's back on Sci-Fi and other lazy rythmes *FULL ARMY SHOTS*

Pulled out the army for a look at how it's coming together:

Now that the army will have to do some duty as an Imperial Guard army as well, I find myself having to make some other specific units in order to play. I had the idea of using them for 40K in the back of my head as I was making the army, but it was never a central concern, as I'm more keen to get them into Warpath, Warengine and Antares. But you have to play what your opponents want to, so I'll be trying out some DinoHammer 40,000 in the coming weeks.

To be completed (40K specific stuff labelled):
4 Assault Squad Saurians
5 Mechs (with two visible pilots)
Missile Infantry Fighting Dinosaur
2 HMG Teams
2 RPG Teams
2 Snipers
Master of Ordnance (IG)
Officer of the Fleet (IG)
Comissar (IG)
Bracio Mobile Command Unit
Bastidon APC
3 Grenade Launcher Mercs (IG)
3 Flamethrower Mercs (IG)

Also, I'm thinking about one of the "Psycher Choirs", but I'm not sure that the Saurians will look right in that role. So if I can find some other minis that fit the "feel" of the army, then I can do that and a Combat Engineer team.

That is just looking better and better!

Are you making an IG army out of it?  ???

That new dino tank looks particularly promising.  ;D

Not my first choice, I'll admit, but some friends want to do a map-based campaign, and my Cthulhu Chaos daemons are nowhere near ready. Once I get my Anteres and Warpath rulebooks, I'll try something else with them.

Haha that driver conversion is justs too good!

Really cool way of tying it all together and making them part of the force.

Yep, that :)

This is a wonderful army and I am looking forward to seeing the mechs painted.

Saurian Mercenary Squad 3 finished!

Feels good to have the bulk of the base infantry painted, now on to mechs, special weapons teams and vehicles!

That's just awesome! Great use of kit parts, and I love the control desk sitting inside.

That brontosaurus (weren't they disinvented?) Command Centre looks fantastic. What a terrific idea!
