GZG/Eureka squads
« on: May 04, 2015, 03:37:43 PM »
I've started re-painting my old GZG figs, these were bought a long time ago (in a galaxy far way) to supplement my 25mm WEG Star Wars figs as they match up well. These will also see service as extras for 7TV.
I have a bunch more to do, then I'll dig out the WEG figs and start on them. Hopefully by the time the prequel comes out I'll be able to field a decent SWMB game!

they look really good indeed!.
i'm looking over denizen or GZG in order to make some conversions: i need a couple of Bespin guards miniatures. I like the caps on the second squad. Are they Mercenaries?  i'd conside come bodies like the upper ones, but better without big guns, just blaster pistols you know. do you have some GZG withou painting? Do you have any suggestion?.
Anyway i like your work! ;)

Yup have a load to add some variety to my hoth rebels and even some full armoured types for old republic troopers proxies.  Well worth looking at for WEG definitely. Would have picked some up at salute but John only carries his 15mm stuff at shows now.

+huesped the figs are: (top) NSL Jaegers & (bottom) ESU Heavy Infantry. the ESU figs all (except the officer) wear helmets although it's not clear in the photo.
So far all the figs have either old paint or new paint jobs. As I strip and repaint I'll post pics. Currently on the desk are ESU Naval Infantry - so far just undercoated I'll post a pic later in the week, I think that these could make great Bespin Guards...

Ok, thanks, i do have the GZG miniature list , but its pics are too small and become  too pixeled to see what i'm looking for. On the other hand, most of Officers or Ship crewmen - that perhaps  would work- have no pic.

Maybe some Jaegers ( without heavy equipment would do the job) but anyway i'm looking some sort of "officer or spaceship officers" uniforms, more elegant and tigh fitting. Any advice??

NSL with a little helmet modification will make great rebel commandos. Maybe even with a pressmould headswop too?

Good idea, Commander;

but i'm looking for Bespin Wind guard props. i think i could handle the caps Sculpting anyway.
that's why i'm looking for reference pics of Officers or Starship crew members.

hi all

As promised i've take a quick snap of the Naval Infantry currently on the painting table, alas they were already undercoated. My plan is to paint them in blue & white and use them as either elite Alderaan Navy or generic security forces.

Huesped I haven't come across any minis that fit the Bespin style except the WEG imperial officer figs such as Moff Tarkin and Gen. Veers

hello there Psullie!

nice idea about Alderaanian Navy color Pattern.  i like that!!

As you said, no other sculpt among WEG fit , except the ones you said, i had faith of identifying some among GZG, as most lacks of pic either in web or the downloadable catalog.

i've found some ones that would do the job , but extremely expensive ( it cost double a WEG on  2on hand " Black market") :P  and that's why i was interested on having a better knowlegde on GZG options.
In any case, Thx for the information and i'll be watching your tread !
Best regards.
