OGAM - Rules question
« on: May 15, 2015, 03:25:39 AM »
I've tried looking for this but cannot seem to find an answer. In Of Gods and Mortals, if two Legendary class troops fight and tie - what happens? the rule book seems to indicate that they both take a wound and retry the combat, does this mean that they both die simultaneously or am i reading this wrong?

I know that the topic is very old but.....could still work indeed  ;)

i have the same kind of question about Legends and gods and the "wound-casualty" notion in the rules.
Last Sunday, during our club's games day demo we fall on this kind of fight result and we were disapointed.
The rules speak about "casualties"  for Legends and Gods and there is nothing in the rules about that.

its was a little confusing  o_o for us.

Mortals ; no problem ; they have figurines in the unit so the bodycount is natural.
Legend and god ; troublesome. The idea of casualty seems to say ; 1 casualty = dead.

Let's resume the good way to play :
For example,  if an armoured legend takes 2 casualties from a mortals unit and he fails his Q test
the combat result is : the first casualty is cancel by the Armoured trait and the second one is a "true" casualty which mean for a legend ; Death .

that's the idea ?

thank you for your help  ;)

Armoured: the unit does not take a casualty when it ties a melee. So it is useful only if there is a tie between Mortals and/or Legends. Look at page 18 for ties.

Casualties are on page 19.
For every casualty...
Mortals vs. Legends= Qtest win=knock, lost=death
Mortals vs. Gods= Qtest win=recoil, lost=death
Legends vs. Legends = death
Legends vs. Gods = Qtest win=recoil, lost=death
Gods vs. Legends = death
Gods vs. Gods = death
