Don's Crusades
« on: May 23, 2015, 07:43:10 PM »
I got hold of two boxes of crusader knights from Fireforge and wanted to initially some Game of Thrones stuff. But then I though: why not doing crusades stuff anyway...:D

Again small bands for use with "Song of Blades...".
I wanted to do a retinue of a poor knight with some fellow pilgrims. And I wanted the feeling of a journey, so 3 man have rucksacks and stuff modelled on their back.....

The retinue is a wild mix of perry, gripping beast, warlord and fireforge models.

And a close up of the freehand shields... :)

Needing a few muslims now... ;)

Cheers,
Don

Brilliant! :-* Great concept, excellent painting and a believable, evocative mix of minis. Just looking at them you start wondering about the stories each of them could tell around the campfire...

I'm looking forward to seeing how this project develops.  :)
