Darrel, the " Redskins " book follows directly on from where " Flash for Freedom "  finished,  in a street in New Orleans with the diabolical John Charity Spring in 1849.  The book is split into 2 parts , with Flashman joining the '49,ears in the first part and riding out with Custer in the second.  It may repay printing out the 2 x maps at the start and following his journeys with a coloured pencil.  The narrative is good , if a little fanciful in places, but it,s invaluable for the notes which accompany the text and the pen portraits of real life characters. Settle back with a coffee or a single malt, or better still both, and pretty soon you,ll be riding across the prairie with the sun in your eyes and the buffalo moving like a brown river in the distance.

I don't need any more prompting than that  lol lol

I need to order a few Flashy books anyway so I may as well order them all at once (except the first one which I've read and the Bismark one which I've listened to!)  :)

You're most welcome- I listened to both episodes last night.

Though they're clearly abridged it was still great to hear the interpretation of the artists involved.

For those looking for Flashman Characters in 28mm, the old figs that were produced by Chiltern Miniatures can be found through SHQ.

I've got the lot,I've been reading them since I was twelve and now I'm 36 and still re read them. I'm a Crimean war fanatic so "the charge"is my fave.

Here are the pics

Many thanks, though they do look a bit on the chunky side(?)

How well would they fit with Artizan and Perry miniatures do you think?

These look pretty cool. Even if not for gaming they look worth getting. About twelve years ago a company done porta,Sven and co. from the Sven hassal books. Of course the hassal books are fiction but i still love them.
