Baah! Must be photos from a real junkyard, elaborated to look like models  lol

Yeah, I had a brief moment of doubt...

Thanks again for all of the great comments - quick post this time and views very welcome. I'm now putting together the hangar baseboard - one of 3-4 that will make up Junktown as a whole.

I want this to be based on the edge of the taxi way for the small reserve air base that became Junktown so it's got the hangar plus a few admin buildings. So far, roughing it out I think it will look a bit like this. The tower on the roof will have a control tower room on top. What do you think?

Obviously there will be piles of junk scattered around to clutter it up. The corner by the hangar has some Necromunda-type pipe work in. Much of it will be buried by junk but it's supposed to be like the base's old power network. Too 40K for a Falloutish world?

It's not big, or clever, but let's do it anyway

Looks awesome. I wouldn't say that the 40K industrial stuff is out of place at all. Maybe the Haemotrope Reactor would be but I don't see one of those in there  lol

Oh that's gonna be pretty!

As for the 'too 40k for post-apoc,' there's no reason that your scavengers couldn't have found some 40k rulebooks and tried to build to the aesthetic...although the big blood reactor with the skull on it might be a bit much.

Thanks for all the feedback. Still wrestling with the pipes. Might put a pile of containers in that corner. The Osprey is starting to take shape. I’m building an interior so the wings will lift off (no pun intended). The idea is this is home to someone green fingered so the cockpit has become a green house and yellow box on the roof will be a grow box full of pumpkins. WIP pics....

I love it!  :-*

The idea of a little lounge area on the tail section is just brilliant!

Plus the use of the cockpit as a small green house is rathe cool too!

Did you make the sun loungers?

Thanks. Sun loungers are cheap Chinese O scale model railroad bits. I think I got 20 of them for about £3 on eBay.

More awesomeness!  8)

I can definitely see where this one is going. One question though; will bases fit on the floor of the inside of the hull, with the bed and clutter there?

Oh, and for moment there, I thought I had missed a new Osprey rulebook and was trying to imagine what Farm Wars in 28mm would look like... lol
