A combination of holiday and lockdown has allowed me to get this one completed quite quickly. Photos are not really 'in final location' because I have a lot of work to do on the base board, but you can see roughly what it will look like. This piece will eventually be tucked in against the side wall of the Junktown Hangar.

So we started here...

And for once I haven't fiddled with it too much from start to finish.

And a few detail shots...

Now with some glorious time on my hands the question is what to do next. Baseboard I think.

It's not big, or clever, but let's do it anyway

You sir are a wizard. In natural light if I did not see the edge of your base board on occasion I would say you were photographing a life size junk heap!  o_o o_o o_o Really amazing work thanks for your delightful update and the inspiration they provide.

Clanmac, you did a tutorial on the salt technique, and I can't find it.  Can you remember where you put that?

I thought the same, I often think that he's inserted a picture that he used as an inspirational source, then see it's a 28mm work of art :)

Hi Sinewgrab, yes it's here, although I probably need to do a simpler one on a single vehicle. Runs for a couple of pages.

Moving on to the Hangar baseboard now.

Started here.

Then covered in blue foam

Now getting some paint and detailing onto the blue foam. The back is relatively undetailed because it will be covered in stuff (buildings and recently completely corner-piece.

Then a bit of a wash and then lining up the hangar itself

And then some markings.

Weathering, dirt and some tufts next!

Not only your job is amazing  :-*  but it is enviable how you manage to do so many details in such a short time!
