Very impressive Scenerypiece!  I like the whole concept of your scrapyard very much because all buildings are build in way it could be in reality!

Could you please tell me where you got this Bunkerdoor from you are using as Main Door for the House?

That house is amazing. Looks really realistic. The tarp idea sounds great

Very cool looking junk house, the door really tops it off.  8)  8)  8)
The combination of toy planes, detailed resin parts (doors/windows) and other junk bits works really well together. Very seamless.

Yeah do a "sail barge" type rooftop for sure, where military junk meets luxury ;)

Cheers

And the next bits....

In the middle of Junktown I intend to have a pile of containers and other junk, on top of which will go the various aircraft based houses I'm building. To keep them habitable, there needs to be fuel and water so here are the fuel supply and the drinking water supply, both made from military vehicles found lying around at the airfield.

The water tank

The water tank will eventually have a series of water collecting barrels, linked to it by hoses, hence the funnel on top, which can also collect rain. The original engine still powers the pump, but a new fuel tank has been added.

The Fuel Tank

The idea is that this has had pumps and taps drilled into it so people can fill jerrycans or other containers to run their various generators. It has also had more than a few leaks repaired over the years. Scooter spends his little free time up top watching the world go by.

Going back to working on my big yellow machines next - the Recycle-o-mat and the Crusher. More to follow soon I hope.

Really cool additions! I like your weathering a lot! Little hint to make it perfect. I would weather the painted windows as well. They look to bright to the rest of the Vehicles. Some brownish vertical strokes should do the job.

Cheers Delta

Agreed.

I just had to go back and reread your excellent Ghoul thread from last year where you explain how you achieve such wonderful rusty goodness!

Thanks for taking the time to explain it all so clearly.  8)
