Such an utterly epic thread. I am not able to adequately articulate my admiration of your artistic skill and imagination. Deepest respect! Just so much to love it is hard to choose a favorite.

Thanks Rick, high praise indeed - will try to live up to it.

Next bit of work on the Travelers' Rest. Undercoating done, which sort of ties it together. I'm going to contrast salt and hairsrpay on the outside with crackle paint on the inside and see how that works.

The bubbly look on the doors is masking fluid. Underneath they are see through, a look I hope to keep although I need to work out how to make them look cracked. Lots of detailing to do like covering up the Plasticville lugs in the corners, and adding more character to the floor, but you can see how things are developing. You've gotta love long weekends!

Only issue on the doors is that they wouldn't be cracked - at least here in the us they are required to be safety glass, which means the moment they get hit, the entire piece fails and falls into bead-sized pieces.  However, many stores now put a safety film on that keeps the entire piece together as a sheet, but the whole thing will be spiderwebbed.

Please don't ask me how I know that.

Aye, that's a fair point. I think an effective spiderweb might be beyond me, now the door is in place (and glued so firmly that getting it out will probably break it). So either I don't do glass because it's a bit of a stretch to think they've lasted with all those waifs and strays, or I just make them REALLY dirty. One to ponder I think.

Spot on Sir!

Infact your Travellers Rest looks like some of the buildings I have worked-in over the years, and yes they were that rundown and ill maintained  :o lol.

Love this thread!

My version of Fenris Games' lovely Marauder. I've painted it as a Vaultec Ranger - another of their post nculear-strike exploration vehicles. This one has clearly been in service for some time.

Oh I like that, is there any chance of taking a few pictures of it next to a mantic GCPS or a GW space marine or something, so I can get a feel for its general proportions?

If its not too much trouble, please.

Thanks

Glen

Eeek- you're right - forgot to dust it up! It's quite rusty but you can't see that because of the bright sun, but the tyres definitely need to be dirtier.

As always stunning work.

It does bother me a bit however that the wheels are not all in the same direction.
