Circular saw guy is from the Mega Miniatures Salvage crew. I think Johnny Lauck has just relaunched them on a kickstarter. I replaced the original head with one from Maximini.

Sweet setup!!!  8)  8) the paint chipping and faded yellow looks awesome!

I should paint my bulldozer in that scheme! :D

I may have missed it, but what is the compressor/recycler made from? Hotwheels launcher thingys or is it a resin kit?

Cheers
Matt

A few more piles of junk. I just can't leave them alone.

First an up-gunned piece by Micro Art Studios - the Store

The base model is really nice and despite being a weird expanded foam mix it paints and handles very well. As ever, I have covered it with extra bits to add more junky chaos.

Undercoated

Painted

Second, Scooter's Fuel Dump

Need fuel, oil, carelessly exposed radioactive rods for your Corvega? This is the place. This is a Snapdragon resin piece with lots of extras added.

Undercoated

Painted

Enjoy the rads...

Very nice stuff! Your toothbrush had a very long day I guess! lol

As a little suggestion for improvement, I would darken the deepth of the container on the upper side. Its looks too clean for a riffled surface on an exposed position imo.

Those hit all the right places. Good find.

where did you get the saws and other hand tools? i recognize a few figures as hasslefree and they're definitely on my wish list.
everything looks great!  making junk piles sounds easy (glue a bunch of stuff  together haphazard ) but it's hard to make it  look purposeful and still have a little randomness. super  job.

Thanks for the comments.

where did you get the saws and other hand tools?

The saws are mostly improvised - Shae's (Hasslefree) is a chainsaw cut down and plasticard blade added. Fit Nina's (VOID) drill is just a cut down gun with a bit of piano wire stuck in and painted with a spiral. Trent's (AKULA'S Apocalypse Isle) hammer is scratch built.

As a little suggestion for improvement, I would darken the deepth of the container on the upper side. Its looks too clean for a riffled surface on an exposed position imo.

Good spot. Will darken it and add some more dirt.

Great job painting!! You're making me more than a little envious! Are you painting this all up for fun or do you have a rule set you'll be using to play with?

Mostly just for fun. I can't help thinking when I have enough stuff I'll think about gaming with it, but I just love creating post-apocalyptic stuff. That's why I have so many more vehicles and scenery than people to populate them.

You know you've been idle when you click reply and Lead Adventure asks if you are sure you want to reply to a post that is over 120 days old. Bad, bad post-apocalyptist.

Back off my butt and trying to create the rest of Junktown, the town that has grown up around the biggest scrapyard out west. In my mind's eye Junktown was always somewhere between the Fallout original and Megaton, with its airfield theme. The idea is that most of the houses are built around old aircraft.

So, to the WIPs

The Villa

And undercoated

The water supply

The fuel dump

The runway bar

Assorted houses, waiting undercoat

Some automated junk breakers

Another junk pile

And finally, Rosie, the Scrap Yard Queen's house/office

Frantically undercoating so I can get on with the usual hairspray and rust nonsense and then I hope I'll have some finished articles to post. As ever I put the photos up to try and put the pressure on to finish these.....but then I said that over 120 days ago last time.
