HELP!!! Suitable alternatives to a mini range!!!
« on: June 24, 2015, 11:27:01 PM »
I wanted to build up a small 28mm collection before the Strange Aeons 2nd edition is being launched and had found the 'perfect' minis to add to my collection. However, it seems like Black Cat Bases are having major problems with their supply and business so I am forced to look elsewhere  :'(. Would anyone know a suitable alternative to these:

Maybe Bob Murch's Pulp Miniatures line
also check ebay for the old Grenadier Ct line
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

Thank you for the advice gentlemen, I will continue to look and am aware of both RAFM and Pulp Figures. But none of them carry what I specifically look for, which are the 'spellcasting' professor and the female journalist. I have a few minis from the Artizan/ Foundry old west/ Copplestone High Adventure that I have some ideas for and might look to get some more from those lines.

Cheers,

Legionnaire.

I believe EM4 still produce a range of Cthulhu investigators.

Reaper Miniatures also produce quite a few suitable figures in their Chronopia range.

Copplestone have a nice range of prohibition era gangsters and civilians.

Have a look at Fenris Games for some Monsters, Artizan's Thrilling Tales and Pulp Figures

I have a couple of good replacements for the Cthulhu statue, From the Bag of Cthulhu ...

EDIT: I have had a couple of requests for them now and no longer have any more left.

Hi,

Although no amulet, both Artizan and RAFM carry prof-type figures with a book

As used for my Cludeo set.

And couldn't a Copplestone Gangster Gal be used as a female reporter?

Just a thought.   ::)

The old grenadier range, now manufactured by Mirliton, could have something:

Although not the greatest looking figs, Fantasy Flight Games has Arkham Horror figs that are pre-painted. There are also monsters available as well.

I have a couple of alternatives for the reporter amongst my own range (Blind Beggar).

...or maybe one of the Armed Housewives would work although they are much more heavily armed...

Send me a PM if any of those may work.
