Lovely painting! As for the song? Fantastic! Can't wait to see what else becomes of this little 'finished' project.

Well, after the excitement of painting 36 tiny creatures and 6 Skaven in about three days, and hitting the Christmas target, I decided to ring in the New Year with a new adventurer.

Introducing Franz von Kreiger, the Imperial Noble.

OUTSTANDING!  Your Dashing Swashbuckler is a BEAUTIFULLY painted reaction. VERY WELL DONE!
I got to do one a few years ago for a friend it is a wonderful mini to paint. When it came out it was the most expensive single mini I had seen
...an outrageous $15. Now that isn't an unusual price to pay for a nicely sculpted miniature.

Thanks for the kind comments. I've had that Noble mini for ages, and was really looking forward to getting him painted.

Just going through the photos and realised I hadn't uploaded my second batch of Skaven, so here they are:

Next up: Undead!

Very nice work finishing that. (Sorry a bit late in the reply here)
I've been playing this with my son recently and have just made up a whole bunch of new cards for events. Great to see everything painted. It gives me enthusiasm to get my set painted.

Next up on the workbench: I'm starting the Catacombs of Terror models. I'm using the classic Tomb Guardians, but replacing the seated Liche King with an Otherworld Miniatures Liche, just because a standing, single-based figure can be used in more adventures.

Before I get on with this big batch of Undead painting, I thought I'd show off this little acquisition - three Wraiths from Black Tree Designs (with a rebased Luthor the Hunchback tagging along). These might be the only BTD minis I actually like.

I got them because GW weirdly discontinued Wraiths from their range, and I only had one. (Such an odd evolution - sell metal ones in blisters of three, then raise the price while reducing them to blisters of 1, then get rid of the metal ones and replace them with a single-pose plastic, change the name to Cairn-Wraiths, then discontinue them altogether despite having spent money on plastic tooling very recently, and now making people's models obsolete. But hey...)

*Cough* I think it might be obvious that I was a Vampire Counts player back in the day  ;)

Anyway, behold:

Those BTD Wraiths are excellent. Got them too.

Indeed everything here is excellent, the idea, the models, the painting!  :)

True to my word, I've started 2018's endeavours with the Undead from the Catacombs of Terror expansion. First up: Tomb Guardians.

These guys were an absolute joy to paint, and really stand up well to the more current minis in the colleciton.

Rear view.

EXTREME CLOSE UP. WOOOAAAHH!!!

Only question now is, do the two guys in guard positions need shields or not? The original minis didn't have them, but I've got loads of nice undead shields I could give them Thoughts?
