League of Automatons
« on: July 01, 2015, 01:21:33 AM »
I've recently started trying out the Pulp Alley rules and thought I'd post a pic of one of the leagues I've put together.

<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/15220207@N06/19121846770" title="League 1 by adeselrec, on Flickr"><img src="https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/263/19121846770_8048503bd9_c.jpg" width="800" height="439" alt="League 1">[/url]

It's inspired by of one of the leagues posted over in the Pulp forum by d phipps:

http://s1337.photobucket.com/user/pulpalley/media/League%20Rosters/CollectorLeague_zps97a7750e.jpg.html

Connie is the leader, a shooter and commander, Blyde is an ally and fills the role of the 'muscle'.  The dog is a follower.  The big crab automatons are blasters/shooters, the bipeds are brawlers - all are allies. I'm using the repainted risk pieces as mini clockwork 'assassin bots' - bonus gadgets that sometimes figure in a game.  No sidekicks in this league atm, though I may try abd reconfigure it at some point.

OHMYGOSH!  :o

SO well done!

I've never imagined the Risk folk so appropriately used. Never have I seen simple bottle caps so well played!

Just gobsmacked.

Needs some IHMN cards!

I think I've used my allotment of exclamation points.

I recognize the Connie figure from the Lead Adventure Bonnie and Clyde pack. Where is the Blyde figure from?

WOW! Beautiful work. Great idea for a Pulp Alley league.  :-* :-*

Do you have a Pulp Alley roster put together or are you putting them on cards?

Thanks all - it's fun looking through your minis (and lead pile!) to see what sort og leagues you can make - I like that aspect of PA.

Wolf Girl: This is the roster I made - I'm still learning the oddities (but goodities!) of the rules, so I might've got a couple of things wrong.  The league performs well (and is fun to use!), but I might rejig the list to make Blyde a sidekick -providing a little more oomph and staying power!

Leader   Health   Brawl      Shoot      Dodge   Might      Finesse   Cunning
Connie   1d10      2d8      3d10      3d10      2d8      3d10      4d10

Commander, Gadgeteer, Clever

Ally      Health   Brawl      Shoot      Dodge   Might      Finesse   Cunning
Blyde      1d6      3d6      1d6      2d6      1d6      1d6      1d6

Fierce, Brute

Ally         Health   Brawl      Shoot      Dodge   Might      Finesse   Cunning
Crab   (x2)   1d8      2d6      1d6      2d6      1d8      -      -

Burst   Big

Ally               Health   Brawl      Shoot      Dodge   Might      Finesse   Cunning
Brawlamaton (x2)   1d6      2d8      2d6      1d6      1d8      -      -

Fierce, Mindless

Follower      Health   Brawl      Shoot      Dodge   Might      Finesse   Cunning
Cog, the dog   1d6*      1d6      1d6      1d6      1d6      1d6      1d6
Animal

Perks:       Bastion of Science (Use on Clockwork Combatants), Companions

On the one hand, I want to congratulate you for having such a well painted and constructed crew. On the other hand, I want to reach through the internet and punch you for giving me ideas! Nice work!

Excellent job!  I really like the repurposed Risk pieces.

I've just gotten started on Pulp Alley, but we're also using it for more of a VSF setting at the moment.  I also like the "let's see what's in the lead pile" aspect of league building.

Very nice paint-jobs, and great scratch-builds on the robots!
