Don's pulp stuff
« on: July 04, 2015, 09:09:01 AM »
Builded a zeppelin interior in the last nights.

The painting is pretty WIP...;)

Supposed for Micro-Skirmishes like .45-Adventure or really tiny pulp alley.

Closeup.

And it had to fit in one of my transportboxes...:)

Mesures 60x12cm...

Cheers,
Don

Very nice work indeed.

Building the dirigible/ gas bag bit is the easy part, it's building the hangar that is the tough bit.

My mother in-law lives not far from this one in Rio de Janeiro. It was built to house the Hindenberg. It ain't small.

Definitely the right way to go.use a smaller airship on the table and build a separate interior ( built to fit your storage and not the other way round)for gaming in.you could do a level of walkways amongst the gas bags,( kinder egg gas bags maybe ?)
Good idea well executed .
Mark.

That's awesome. I've been wanting to build something like that. We've played a bunch of Pulp Alley scenarios in an area about this size. Works perfect!  ;)

I love the interiors with their book shelves and other fine details.

Many thanks for posting your impressive work.

I often think, "how does one do a Pulp Zeppelin", they just do. Talent and determination.

Looks great! You should find a way to suspend or elevate it on the table to give the illusion of being in mid-air, maybe with wires or hidden flight stands, something like that.

Or with actual hydrogen balloons.

That looks great!

I'm not doing much pulp gaming these days, having been distracted by other shiny objects, but a zepp gondola in something like this style has long been on my "things I'd like to build" list - congratulations on going ahead and actually building one!

The thought occurs that with your design you could add additional central modules, adding a ballroom, extra staterooms, a top secret laboratory, hangar bay, or whatever the zepp needed for the scenario you have in mind!

Nice work. Love the detail you put into it.
