It took some time but I handle to finish the lawmen today!

First of all 'the Earps':

You already know the guys in the backround (they were introduced earlier in this thread). With Wyatt and Doc'Holliday done the Bunch is assembled  8)

Next the 'upstanding Citizens':
I love both models and i think they'll put the right amount of moral and justice into my lawmen  ;)

Last: 'The completed Gang':
The Lawmen are finished.

Greetings!  :)

Yeah. He came to the west to get rich and famous. But soon he was completely spilled in dirty underwear of the rich and famous  lol

I've started a small 'Boot Hill'. I'm going to use a combination of seperate bases and scenic area-bases. Here is the first set of Tombstones and area terrain:
Picture 1

Picture 2 - Same Set, just another point of view

Some more tombstones (area terrain bases still on the workbench)

Tombstones-> Renedra
Skelettons -> Wargames Foundry
Cowboy (featured in last Pic)-> Reaper Miniatures
Cacti -> Pegasus Miniatures
Shovel -> thomarillion.de

Greetings  :)

Oh the poor chap didn't quite make it to his grave :(

Lovely, :-* :-* the colour, texture and basing works well, and there is plenty of eye candy in those tomb stones, and there is cactai! You may need a hearse now to take the dead up the hill ;)

Very cool. Nice work.

Yeah. He came to the west to get rich and famous. But soon he was completely spilled in dirty underwear of the rich and famous  lol

lol lol lol. That would explain his grumpy expression lol lol

lol I have to admit that the skeletton is a little bit unrealistic; but i like the descent fantasy touch it provides ::)

I really like the Boot Hill piece, lots of character and very nicely presented. Thanks a lot for the breakdown of where the different items are from, very helpful.

Another person late to this thread - a lot of very nice work.  Too late, likely, to try but when I saw your first version of flames I thought it would be interesting to try using a little gloss medium on the flames to see how that worked - flames have a translucent quality to them.

I do wonder about the Chinese laundry man - he seems to have an awfully thick beard for a man of that descent, all of the people I've know of such descent, quite a few, have always had very sparse facial hair.  But, heck, its a big country and there must be some men with the right ancestry to grow such a full beard.

Love the boot hill, especially the removable headstones.  I would have saved the skeleton as a removable piece for the burning wagon, though.  That's going to freak out all the ladies attending the next funeral in the cemetery!

Now, I just need to find time to get to my own old west collection!  Inspiring.

You are welcome  :)
Sadly I've forgotten to list up a few things like the Shovel i used (which is selled by www.thomarillion.de, a very great side for small and decorative stuff as well as awesome terrain features. Please check it out!)
I've completed the list in the original post.

Very interesting idea! I still have some water-modelling effects left off an older project. I'm going to use it for a torch to test the overall look!

You are absolutely right :o .Don't know what came into my mind while painting the beard. After thinking about it, the beard does look a little odd. I'll change it immediately!

Thank You very much  :)
At first i was going to use skelettons on that burning waggon. But than i decided to use wounded models instead (still in mailing-process). It should let the scene look as if it has happend  just right now. But I have to admit, the skeletton is freaking out all Ladies. the only person attending the boot hill so far is the Gravedigger  :)
I would be glad to see another Old-West Collection. It's always a pleasure to see other's work and find inspirations  :)

As promised, here is Boot Hill Part-2: I have decided to split up the graves in up to 4 area-terrain features. This not only makes the Graveyard bigger but gives some more place for Details as well  8)
The coffins featured on this piece are made by wood. It was quite a bit of work making those (the next ones will be bought  lol )
The small decorations (such as the petroleum-based lamp, the shovel and the pickaxe) are selled by thomarillion.de

Petroleum-based Lamp: I used the same painting method as mentioned in the burning-waggon posts (page 1+2)

And a third area-terrain piece:

Greetings  :)

€dit:
I was looking for another Set of Pick-Axes. Look what I have found instead:  Another 12 (unpainted) Tombstones!    ;D

I really thought that I'd painted all of them  :?

I keep up the plan of using only 4 area-base terrain features (even if now 5 to 6 would make more sense). As You can see, I'm not the only one mourning about the overfilled graveyard   lol

I will not make a 5ths or 6ths area-terrain base. Instead the lose Tombstones are going to be used as 'fillers':

This makes the Boot-Hill a little more compact looking.

Here is a little Update:

I've updated the chinaman. I changed the beard and recoloured it. Now it is much more thinner and white.
The Cowboy on the far left will be used as an armed citizen. The Packs of Dynamite are going to be used in a Scene I'm working on right now.

The next Thing I want to show is another waggon. You can remove the drivers and horses to make either a used or unsied wagon.

Last but not leas, I am very pleased to show off the finished burning waggon! I've added a bunch of shot Cowboys and Horses:

Some great stuff going on since I last came by for a visit.
 8)

The cemetery and wagons look great, full of character.
I also like the idea of being able to add or remove bits according to your needs.
Very versatile.
 :-* 8) :-*

I am looking forward to seeing what you have planned with the new stuff.

The TNT looks brilliant, very clever idea.

It's amazing the difference in Mr wu with the new whiskers  - he still looks grumpy though lol

Will you be posting pictures of your buildings?
