Thank you for your kind words.

now get on and do the other side of the table

I did and have. :D

I finished the Russians (I even got around to finishing the basing) before the Prussians....

.....then, after the Prussians, I did the Austrians.

Let the campaigns begin! 8)

Marvellous effort, and each figure is to a very high standard. You should seriously think about getting some of your work published :)

Thanks. As it happens....

One or two pictures of this collection appeared in the recent SYW rule book by Keith Flint (Honours of War - Osprey). This one was my favourite (BTW, don't worry about it being seen here, I own the copyright):

I hadn't finished the Austrians when that went to be published, so the Austrian collection didn't figure. It's bound to show up somewhere at some point, my stuff tends to get picked up for one publication or another. Some of it is certainly going to Derby this year for a demo game of Lobositz so it might get in a mag following that. The game will look something like this, so if you are passing that way drop by and say hi:

It's funny that my largest collection has appeared in print less than most, perhaps that's because it's less niche than some of my others.

That's all good but where are the French?  ;D

Just kidding, that's some amazing work you've done. Always inspiring to look at pictures of your armies.

I've been on your blog a few times and was wondering did you ever post a painting tutoral somewhere?

Again, very nice work! 8)

As far as I can remember I've only ever done two on painting and two on basing. I'm not sure if they are any use to you, but you might be able to pick out the odd bone.

I'm about to paint a unit of British Napoleonic Light Infantry, so perhaps I should try and do another using that. Brits are quite a challenging bunch, so it might be instructive to some degree. The problem is, I've never been much of a teacher.

I've done over 50 posts under the general headings of 'modelling and conversions' relating to war gaming, including the posts above. I'm not sure if there is much of interest there but, the link is here:

Thanks for the links. Very useful indeed.

Do you still paint with enamels only?

Cheers!

Pretty much. I like the density of pigment for speed of painting, my clients like the warmth of colour and its hard wearing nature.

Wot, no Schaumberg-Lippe army? Shame and disgrace upon you!
