Or maybe they don't think will sell in the same volumes, and thus risk not covering the cost of HIPS sprues fast enough.

Either way, I did think that going the resin route seemed backwards compared to what the main thrust of their earlier model range was made in...  :?

Perhaps they are not making money on the old ranges - they need to halve the contents of their boxes and double the prices, that's what the big players do. I think a lot of these small companies just get by, big investments are a big deal to them. Once the initial rush of purchasers had subsided, I wonder how many boxes they actually sell? Having said that, picked up a box of the Templar cavalry just this week.  lol But I did hear from a guy who runs a company that new releases tend to sell big numbers in the first 3 or 4 months, then it's peanuts.

On topic, looking forward to seeing the sculpts, if they are decent and the prices not too bad, will be in the market for a dozen (I wonder why  ;) ).

I was just about to make a post asking if somebody makes nice 12th-13th Century archers/longbowmen - preferably  in plastic... and then this...  >:(

Hmmm... I shall have to wait a bit longer before making any decisions regarding this, as I absolutely loathe working with resin.

Maybe kitbash some bows from the Perry set onto some Fireforge Foot Sergeants, or would those be too heavily armoured?
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

That's a real shame... I would almost certainly have got these in plastic, but almost certainly not in resin...

Perhaps they are not making money on the old ranges - they need to halve the contents of their boxes and double the prices, that's what the big players do.

And that's partly why the 'biggest player' is seeing it's sales constantly drop the last few years.

Can't speak for anyone else, but personally I think there are too many niggles about Fireforge's plastics that add up to make them look like they're from the 90's. Maybe that's part of the reason they look fantasy-ish, 'cos they look like old GW kits? In any case I'm not too fond of the 'fantasy' poses, which generally means Blackadder splits and Captain Morgans everywhere. With Fireforges' minis you can add gastrointestinal distress too.

And with the pic 3 Fingers just linked, first thought is 'Perrys they ain't'.
