Plastic Horus Heresy Marines
« on: July 27, 2015, 11:20:45 AM »
GW have finaly made a smart move, and this might give them a few years more. I'm really looking forward to these. If the rumors are true, this will be a stand alone game coming this november!

That's good news for sure, though the sprue pics are a bit dark.  That's a smart move considering how people are pretty nuts over the Heresy and 30K.

The Mk IV armour and retro heavy weapons are pretty cool and the style looks clean and simple.  Forgeworld already has tons of shoulder pads, helmets and weapons for customisation.

Might have been a bit boring - yet more marines - but the rumoured Contemptor dreads and Cataphractii terminators could be amazing.  It also looks like we're getting a big box full of stuff.

Price will be key, as always.

Would love to see a commemorative box of beakies for the 30th anniversary in 2017...

If there would be a box of new plastic retro beakie marines, then GW would get some money from me as well

They look great. I'd be interested in a few too.  :D

Thank you for posting this.  I've been waiting a long time for these.  Years in fact.

I can't wait for this to come out.  This will be me buying two boxed GW games in one year if it comes out before 2016.  I haven't done that in . . . . probably ever.

I have to say that as much as i want a box of the marines, this is the fist time i've been more interested in fantasy than 40k! But these guys look too cool to miss :)

Beakies in classic armor would be pretty fantastic.  Even I'd be tempted to buy a box (with no intention of playing 40K at all).

Glad I'm not the only one who thought this!  Really really hope they do that.  Was hoping they would on the 25th, but all we got was that Rogye Trader cover Crimson Fist.

But, the way these aprues are set up would lend itself well to any mk of armor.

Love these minis and I'm really looking forward to Horus Heresy.

What to do...Luna Wolves or Death Guard (Dusk Raiders with the red arm)... or Sons of a Horus... or...

That was my problem, deciding which legion to do. I got a painted Angron for my birthday last year though so I suspect that I'll be doing World Eaters.

I'll probably end up doing two opposing legions that allow for some crossover. Like Luna Wolves (some of which stayed loyal though killed off) and Dusk Raiders (Death Guard terran born (also some of which stayed loyal but we're killed). Seems like it would make both forces usable against either side, though I'd have to double check the fluff.

I'm excited by the possibility of plastic Deimos Rhinos!

Also very happy that this becoming a reality. Finally Epic Space Marine in 28mm plastic after all those years! ;-) As for Adaptus Titanicus in 28mm, that is going to be costly with those resin Titans from FW...

Did I mention I hate resin for most of my minis. So those RT like weapons are very welcome! What I still really want to see is MK VI bolters and I can start colecting beakie parts!

I'm hoping for HH Rhinos, Landraiders, (jet)bikes, Speeders, etc. Oh, and MK IV Jump Packs of course, Heavy weapons... Contemptors, Storm Eagle, Fire Raptors... Hmm... Those last two would be a couple of expansion sprues for the current kit...

The only question is when. Can't be soon enough imho!

Another question is how much. If the core set is something in line with the current starter/campaign sets for 40k, I'll buy lots!
