My Pulp Airplanes
« on: July 28, 2015, 05:34:29 PM »
All,
So I splurged a bit, and bought a diecast 1936 Keystone Loeing and a set of three toy small planes. Tje Loeing that I got was red and black which would not do, and the toys well, they looked like toys.  I bought a can of aluminum spray paint at the local hardware store and sprayed all the models thouroughly, and did some painting on the small planes.  I then did a dry rub of black paint to bring out the details and tone down the shine.  Here are the final models, and a pair of photos showing what the toy planes looked like.

Looking good, you will have nice dog-fights between the smaller planes for sure.

Nice work! They certainly don't look toy-like.
