So having recently completed the two Primaris Lieutenants from the Dark Imperium boxset I decided that these guys are a pretty valuable asset as they allow models nearby to re-roll failed ‘to wound’ rolls of a 1. In light of this capability I wanted to provide my non-Primaris battle company with a similar resource.
As such I decided to make my own non Primaris Lieutenant.
I wanted this model to have a similar aesthetic to the Primaris versions whilst also wearing some form of rare relic armour; as such I gave him a suit of Mk IV Maximus Battle Plate.
In order to show his important status this junior officer has a shoulder pad and backpack from the Crimson Fist HQ sprue and a Crux Terminatus pad.
Weapon wise I have given him a power sword (painted to match my Primaris Lieutenants) and an old school relic plasma pistol from the Forge World Horus Heresy Range.
Overall I am really pleased with this model and I have already used him successfully in games. I’ll probably do at least one more non-Primaris Lieutenant to support my force.
