Haha, you guys...  lol yeah, I guess...if it were like that...you could forget half the forum...

Im pretty sure though, that the German law is pretty generous when it comes to these things.
As illustrator I had to read and sign quite a lot of contracts concerning copyrights and read a few articles on that topic. There are some MAJOR differences between German copyright law and those in other countries, especially UK and the United States...

And as I said... it is all fine.
BTW...I also introduced "A Fantastic Saga" in the Studio Tomahawk forum, same day as I posted here ;)
(the Studio Tomahawk forum is full of Saga adaptations... just sayin...)

Finally had a go at this tonight. Very well done, me and my opponent both enjoyed it and it's obvious that a lot of thought has been put into the battle boards - certainly for the dwarfs and chaos (wild tribes) we used. We will definitely be playing again, probably trying all four boards eventually. Top marks to the author(s).

Further to my last post, I have blogged my thoughts in more detail.

http://paintsngluenrocknroll.blogspot.co.uk/2015/10/fantasy-saga.html

I have included some artwork from the pdf, hope you are okay with this. If not, let me know and I will find something else to use. I really enjoyed the game, and will spread the word on other forums.  :)

I like the feel of the orcs board, nice work. Still to try the elves and undead, but will give them all a go at some time. It's really excellent work you are doing.

I am looking forward to your battle reports!
The ones you got are already very nice... its a pleasure to see people moving beautiful minis over a beautiful table using our AFS-rules :D

So, yeah, any compliment coming from you means a lot. Still a big fan of your stuff.

And yes, the Orcs battleboard has a nice feel to it. It took quite some time to balance it.
The Dominance-mechanism was always either too weak or too strong... but in the end it worked out.
It is a pretty tough job now to get that Dominance, but its doable.
And once you get there, it gets easier and easier.
So as an opponent it is a really good idea to go in strong, throw everything you got at the Orcs at the earliest point possible...
If you give them too much time they will get that Dominance up and then youre pretty much done.

BTW... concerning your Dwarves... if you want to beat those Wild Tribes-guys you should definitely try the Golem, a Moving Contraption and a Gyrocopter...
Since it is "Flying" the Gyrocopter can use its full movement range when activated via the battleboard activations... so for a Dwarf you got a lot of flexibility there.
Similar thing with the Moving Contraption and Golem if activated via the Warsmiths "Protective Runes".
In that case the Moving Contraption has its full range of 12" and the Golem its full 6".

If you pumped them up during your Orders Phase using "Maximum Power" the Moving Contraption would move 16" and the Golem 10".
Theyd also benefit from Heavy Impact, giving the Moving Contraption three (!) automatic hits and two for the Golem.

Sooo... "Maximum Power" + "Protective Runes" from the Warsmith gives you a Moving Contraption with a movement of 16", three automatic hits and it counts as being behind Hard Cover.
A Golem would have a movement of 10", two automatic hits, counting as being behind Hard Cover plus its Attributes "Relentless" and "Strong".

Those are two killer combinations. ;)

Thanks for the tips, though I don't have either of those models as yet. My dwarfs are very traditional, they keep their feet firmly on the ground. I probably will eventually have a gyrocopter, possibly a golem too (though would most likely use the Anvil of Doom model), but it would be nice to deal with the wild tribes using my current force. I think next game I will concentrate fire on the chosen rather than the giants. If I can do that, my opponent loses two Saga dice and is thus severely hampered. I am also going to boost my unit numbers, make my dwarf warrior units up to 12 apiece, that should make them more durable. It's early days as yet, finding the chink in my opponent's armour is all part of the fun. The good thing about dwarfs is that you never really lose, you just go back to the hold, have a beer and write up your grumbles in the Book of Grudges.  :D

Hm, there are so many cool ways to depict those unit types... I remember I have seen wonderful models for Dwarven zeppelins a couple of times...
And there are so many cool models out there one could use as a golem...

Not to mention all the possibilities for a "Moving Contraption"... a big base with a mighty drilling-machine bursting out of the ground? Some kind of steam-powered Dwarf-Tank? A chariot drawn by a giant ram? A bear? Badgers? lol

Thanks for sending me over this way, sir.
These boards look great.
I shall get the boys to have a crack at them in the new year once the holidays are out of the way.
