Matthias, our layout guy, started a blog on AFS:

Also: my Saga-mod with Game Of Thrones theme is almost ready, it is currently in the layout phase, when that is done I will make it available :D
Really excited to see peoples reactions... I think the factions and their Battleboards are great, great fun!

Have a good one,

Ahhh! Gotta dust this topic off!

It's been a year. A lot of things have happened, some of them keeping me from writing new stuff for AFS...

But I wanted to let you guys know that the project isn't dead. Not at all.

In fact factions number 11 and 12 are pretty much finished and will be ready within the next three weeks.

No, I haven't! :D

But AFS will remain in the 1st edition of Saga.

I don't agree with a lot of the changes in Saga's 2nd edition and it also would be too much work to redo everything we did to match the 2nd edition.

Personally I like the first edition much better and I like the thought that AFS will be unique even when the "official" fantasy supplement for the 2nd Saga edition is released.

That way AFS and that fantasy supplement don't have to compete and all those who prefer the first edition like me can continue playing AFS as it is.

Great job!

Have been following your project for a while. It really sets a new standard for "unofficial" content! When I first read your PDF I thought to myself "man, you really need to look up your drafts for the game systems you always wanted to build..." :)

While I like the second edition of Saga it is a very sensible idea to keep your system in the first edition. As you said it will enable you to keep all the work put in and  set it apart from the new "Age of Dragons" (read somewhere that they chose that name for the fantasy supplement).

For my part I will happily use both!

Great that you've done this and to such a high standard, and made it so readily available.

This is absolutely awesome - looks really professional. As a total newcomer to Saga, having only got into it in 2nd ed, I'm slightly mournful it won't be updated for 2nd ed rules. I understand your reasoning though. Looks awesome nonetheless.

One of my next projects will be to publish my very own game and make that available for free as well!

@Knight-Captain Tyr
Thank youuu!
Don't be mournful, you can get the rules for the 1st edition of Saga very cheap now! That's the best thing about that 2nd edition ;)
