We've got some great ERB experts to help, but in brief discussions, generous harnesses can provide both a suitably covered look whilst also looking sparse and interesting - at this scale you need to really bring up the scale of details to make them visible.

ERB didn't labour the point about the sparse clothing, and so we don't need to labour the point in the minis - however it will be true to the best research we have.

So, how much "niked" would those martians be then? :D

Another call for 28mm (not heroic 28mm).

Totally respect that you want to stay true to the literature as much as you can, but gratefully there exists a lot of room for artistic license.

Do we have any preliminary sketches or concepts about the red martians yet? If you are truly asking for opinions it would be much better to see sketches before any greens are made.

No concepts yet, we'll be doing a lot of research first :-)

Would you consider multi-part plastic kits for the troops?

The different red martian states could be made from the same sprue and differentiated simply with a helmet or gear change.

It would do wonders to improve the popularity and expected payoff of the line and a dream come true for kit-bashers.

I think it is no good start going into a project without a concept. Prodos did it with AlienvsPredator and the sad result is angry customers...

We plan very well ahead. First steps are working with the community with something so important as John Carter to see what they want, alongside our research with JC / ERB scholars, then starting the minis development process. We're not in a rush and will produce an excellent range

This from modiphius on EnWorld:
Yes the minis look like they'll be 32mm heroic scale and we'll be doing tiles based on fliers (so you can jump from ship to ship flying across your tables) as well as ancient ruins and surviving cities like Helium etc.

So much for that. Oh well  :(

Yep, that's a shame. I'm out.
I am looking for the following Deadlands minis:  Shotgun Thug, Lost Soul, Cleaners, Railroad Workers & Feral Dead. If you have any of these minis, or if you are one, please send me a PM.

Actually that was an earlier discussion and it's not set in stone yet - we'll be doing a survey of the mailing list to see what the majority wish for. The main interest here has been in true 28mm - we do our Achtung! Cthulhu range in 28mm not 32mm so it's something we work with already.

28mm would make creating the bigger creatures easier too.

I'll put my vote in for 28mm too. Modular figures, as mentioned earlier, would be nice too.

I'm absolutely on board for 28mm, 32mm whatever.
I think I have most of the original Heritage JCoM minis, Bob Charrette's Parhoom Station models and the Bronze Age Wastelanders.

Wish List:
Multi-pose plastic models for Red and Green Martians
A usable Thoat mount!

That's it really. If we get a plastic multi-pose Green Martian kit I can die happy.
