Hi all!

Long time no post!

So after being far removed from hobby stuff for a few years, my old friend Viv recently brought me on board to start developing some MDF kits. I was pretty keen to start doing some Art Deco stuff, as I always wanted to see some nice thematically consistent stuff and figured it'd fit perfectly in the Batman Miniatures game. I always valued greatly the talent contained on these boards so thought I would share what I've been up to the last couple of weeks!

Most of these pieces have had slight design tweaks/cleanup since these pics were taken. I haven't designed MDF kits before so its a bit of a learning curve to best design for the cutting process, but I'm getting used to it.

P.S: I'm not sure if this post is breaking any rules, seeing as we are developing a commercial product, but if so feel free to delete/move this thread/scream bloody murder at me!

Cheers!

This massive building has taken heaps of tweaking. Still wrangling with the design trying to get the best balance between detail and cutting time. The last pic is what happens when said tweaking gets the best of us

Some great stuff going on here.
Those buildings really pop.
 8) 8)

I really like that walkway/bridge.
It looks pretty fiddly to put together.
How long does it take to assemble?
 ???

It's actually pretty easy to assemble. The steps slot in to the sides and the railings plug into the steps. It makes for a pretty solid structure. Probably only took about 15-20 mins or so. This prototype was a bit more problematic as I was still still futzing with the tolerances  :D

Great!

I shall be wanting a few of those when they are released.

These are looking promising  :)

I'm not a fan of MDF buildings but these seem to be a little bit special.

I like how the puzzle-style interlocking along the corners of buildings is hidden by the brickwork. This is a visual problem with many lasercut MDF kits but here I see a clever, if simple, solution  8)

I'm fair salivating over most of those but the street lamp sticks out as a bit clunky in comparison to the others.

Vots Kostern ? (How much will they cost ?)
Nice stuff, even the smaller stuff such as the Sub-Way entrance and the park bench.

Yeah I tend to agree.  It was an experiment and nkt intended for release. I think we'll probably design something to cast up out of metal. We have plans to include resin and metal detail pieces

We'll have some more info re: price points once our fancy production lasers arrive in about two weeks or so
