Duke goes to the near future
« on: August 23, 2015, 10:59:07 PM »
I decided to do some near future freedom fighters/insurgents/survivors. The plan is for them to fight robots that invaded the earth but they might also see some action against zombies or aliens. Here's the first; the weapon is recycled from the Wargames Factory female survivor plastic kit as I was too lazy to sculpt it.

Nice sculpting there. Looks like he'll fit into many settings too.

Thanks Michka: I'm quite happy with parts of the mini, but some details are a bit soft. Some of the sculpting was done after a bottle of wine, which didn't help getting sharp details.

Anyway, he's now based and waiting in the painting queue.

I'm working on another mini. I'm quite pleased with her so far; have to make sure I don't mix wine and sculpting again!

I also found these two cars which would fit well in a near future or even sci-fi setting. They're 1/43 but feel that they work OK with 28-32mm minis thanks to their unusual shape.

Always envious of people who can sculpt - lovely work there!
