Loving all these paint jobs. The gloss varnish is very different but I like the effect a great deal. The basing is also quite distinctive, kudos to you for that!

I like the effects you've achieved on the Cawdor gun casings in particular - just out of interest can you briefly describe what was done?

Thank you for sharing!

Cheers Ragsta ! - The guns are layers of light grey and white dry brush over successive layers of ink/wash and paint, I started with GW's agrax earthshade and then added drakenhof nightshade and fuegan orange.
The dark greeny blue you can see though is Vallejo model color 898 Dark Sea Blue which contrasts with the orange for the overall effect.
While going through these steps it can look a right mess at times but the drybrushing pulls it all together.

Not sure what this guy is, just sort of plopped out as an experiment in kitbashing and painting.
Nort Chem Trooper, Desert Mechanicus, Zone Tripper, straight out of the Radlands of Ji...

Damn! He looks amazing - what's he made from?

I joined my gun with pirate swords, and sailed the seas of cyberspace.

Now that is lovely. Real desert feel to the colour palette.

Brilliant!
Wonderful kitbashing and the paintjob, especially the weathering, looks great.

Cheers Framson - he's all Games Workshop parts, Skitarii legs, head, arms/gun. Cadian body. Backpack is a Cadian radio pack cut in half with parts from a marine melta gun added.

Your acolytes will learn to fear the Desert Mechanicus....but not the Dessert Mechanicus who are generally well regarded by all.
