(KS) Burrows & Badgers: FreeLances - Now Live
« on: September 16, 2015, 06:22:55 PM »
Edit: the KS is now live. Link

We've got a new Kickstarter project beginning next Monday to add new figures to our Burrows and Badgers range, so I thought I'd preview three of the new sculpts here:

Hope you like them! I'll post some more pics over the next couple of days.

cheers
Michael

Thanks guys! I'm a bit of a fan of the otter, I must admit... I'm tempted to do a load of different Landsknecht style animals now. A little mouse with a greatsword sounds like fun. :D

They are BEAUTIFULLY sculpted & VERY IMAGINATIVE!...FINE additions to the Anthropomorphic Folk. GREAT WORK!

I'll be backing you again, nothing but great experiences on all your other KS campaigns.

Can I urge you to follow up on the landsknecht theme? A whole faction of animal adventurers
in slashed sleeves will look superb.

The otter sold it to me.  I was going to be a good girl and get some other stuff painted first, but I NEED that otter.

Who am I kidding?  I would have backed it anyway;I love anthropomorphic critters!

I for one would be less inclined to buy if the landsknecht style route is taken.

In my mind that is more than a little "later" in period/style than your B&B KS minis - dont really see it blending in with the first twenty figs you did.

My .02 Lupins, of course...

The other two Oathsworn Kickstarters I took part in worked effortlessly and the models are brilliant; and that otter! Grand!  8) 8) 8) 8)

Thanks everyone! I'm glad you like them! :)

Pacarat, I know what you mean about the 'later' style; the first set was more 'medieval fantasy' I guess. Most of these are too, with the exception of the otter and a lady fox, plus I guess the travellers set with are more 'culturally' dressed.

I just like the idea of different regions and different levels of society having different dress styles, but still mixing a bit of historical inspiration with the fantasy.

I'll post some more pics later...

cheers
Michael

I like these! Is there any chance of a wombat?

Thanks guys!

I like these! Is there any chance of a wombat?

Hmm, I'm not sure... we're maintaining some size differences between the species, so a shrew is about 18mm tall, up to a badger at about 50mm. A wombat is a good 30 to 40% bigger than a badger, so I think it would be to big to easily cast in metal. I'll have a think about it.

Anyway, in the meantime, I just thought I'd post another three pics of new sculpts for you to have a look at...

A sparrow, a pug and another of the travellers - this time a Hermann's Tortoise:

cheers,
Michael
