Some Spacelords - never write-off Humans...!
« on: September 17, 2015, 05:58:59 PM »
I thought I'd post a pic of some Spacelords, mainly because I want to sell some but also because I think they look quite nice:

Some Cybertech Bunker breakers on patrol - near a bunker, Which they'll probably break

"Quite nice" my iridium-shod foot! They look downright walking-bulldozer-with-a-50mm-autocannon menacing! Sharp paint jobs, Doug. lol You really brought out the excellent details of these sculpts. 8)

Thanks, Leland but I've got to (reluctantly) own up. I didn't paint them. What's worse is, I've forgotten who did.  :( They were painted maybe 10 years ago when em4 started releasing Spacelords again and I've lost the details of who did them.

By the way, Leland - I haven't forgotten those releases you are waiting for.... :)

Yup. Need me six Yoyodyne HMG gunners! And whoever did those Bunkerbreakers really captured them! I have a gaggle of 'em I'm trying to finish up as it is, and I'm sticking to a monotone overall grey myself to serve as a background for all the incredible detail on the figures... BTW, do you plan to release the Bunkerbreakers with the jump pack rigs?

And another photo which also includes an em4 Robot for comparison:

Excellent. I have circa a dozen of 'em of every variety. I will see if I can shove my mob of Bunkerbreakers up to the head of the painting queue accordingly for next month, as I am dying to get started playtesting our new sci-fi ground combat skirmish system based on the Metal Express Dice Engine used in Bladestorm and Silent Death: The Next Millennium.

I intend to use the Space Lords figures extensively for this process, as they (1) have uniform human equipment which fits with the SD:TNM background of a fallen empire and competing successor states, and (2) a consistent part of that equipment is a powered backpack integral to even the basic non-powered human body armor which will serve as the ubiquitous Personal Deflector Field Generator (DFG) so essential to the survival of an individual soldier operating in a battlefield environment where energy weapons and really, really, really nasty projectile weapons like gyrojets and gauss rifles are the norm. DFGs are pretty standard for the better equipped troops in Terran Space, and the added bonus is that the Phagon Battle Clones are just alien enough to work as Draconians, while the Yoyodyne are perfect for the ultra wealthy House Tokugawa right down to their use of elite close combat powered armor troopers which keep with the Tokugawan obsession with minimizing or even avoiding altogether collateral damage whether bystanders or the surrounding environment itself(!).

The Phagons themselves will serve as one of the subject race sepoys of the pithicine-like Galandar (who are the other half of the Prometheans along with the Draconians and their hated enemies in the SD:TNM canon). The Bunkerbreakers I'll be using initially to represent the Stosstruppen of House Colos, the now deceased Terran Emperor's happy attack dogs who were therefore equipped as well as any Millennium Warrior Legion (although they lacked the enhanced training and conditioning of the Empire's elite armed forces combat troops). Brutish, heavily armed and armored, as subtle as a steel barbel to the face like Colosian diplomacy. lol

Wow, Leland - sounds great  :-* Maybe we could some cross-over promotion?

In the meantime, here's some Yoyodyne Shigaru possibly in a spot of bother, being as how there's some of those brutish chaps in the background  :)

In the SD:TNM Terran Space canon, those are House Tokugawa Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers, and those rather vulgar fellows in the background -clearly Colosians trying to sneak into Tokugawan territory without the proper visas and paperwork filled out in quintuplicate and wet signed and stamped by the necessary official witnesses- are about to be shown the door, as the ICE officers have already long since called for backup, and the reason the Colosians haven't tried to fry the nice Tokugawan cops in their boots already is that the Colosians have already felt the displacement tremors of the "backup" topping the horizon:

 :D Good stuff, Leland.

Meanwhile, Bunker-breakers do a sweep for enemy survivors. Guess what? There aren't any....

No survivors? Yup. Colosians. After all, their unofficial motto covering how to handle insurgencies is "No population, no popular unrest!" :o lol

Hi there - I've put the link to the website on each of my posts above .... :o Just shows how easy it is to miss these things and the importance of repeating info frequently.

So, here goes. They are available from Moonraker Miniaturers (that's me...!) and here's the link:
http://moonrakerminiatures.com/cybertech.htm

And it's me you need to talk to about including pics.

Thanks for your interest....

By the way - bunker secured:
