I painted this SHQ (ex Chiltern) Poseidon for my small boy's OGAM warband

He looks great! I especially like the way you handle the fleshtones--wish I could do that. As an aside, how do you like OGAM? I've been doing some solo games of 7th Voyage lately and have really been enjoying it, but I'm always interested in other rules for the period.

Thanks Arundel,
The flesh was very easy, just Tallarn Flesh with Ogryn Flesh Wash, then re-highlight with the base colour and then more highlights with Elf flesh mixed with the Tallarn.

Only played one game so far and that was without the gods. So it was just like Song of Blades... I suspect the Gods add an extra dimension to the game, so we'll see if I get to play again this weekend.

Medusa looks great as well.

(Thank you for the flesh formula, TWD. Now I'm all fired up to try it!)

So this is now turning into an OGAM thread...

Anyway small boy and I played a showdown between Poseidon and Hermes.

Nicely executed, particularly like how you painted Poseidon.  8)

Stuart.

Barrowclough; "Have you got any valuables here, Fletch?
Fletcher; "Only what I always keep in my pyjamas"
Blanco; "He could have been after your lemon barley water; "
Fletcher; "What - in my pyjamas? Funny shaped bottle"

Some Crusader Greek Hopilites to fight for mighty Poseidon

The Crusader range is a good one and these have come up well.  I note you had an issue with domed shields and transfers.  One little trick I use is to lightly score the back of the transfers along the diagonals - makes them more pliable.   Could also use a decal softening agent.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give the scoring a go.

I also think investing in some MicroSol may well be the answer.

That and not being a ham-fisted buffoon.
