Thanks for the link, but I think its better suited to the Pulp board or Future wars than VSF.

Why, dear sir, put a steamengine on a Wardroids back and it be great for VSF

And I've posted pics of it in the Weird War section. And the little ones are due for the same treatment. Weird eh? lol

Not hard to use with VSF at all.

Sorry chaps, I still don't agree, retro cool, pulp 50's style sci fi yes, not VSF.
I don't think putting a steam boiler on a fig and then saying its vsf works. it has to look suitable to start with.

Lovely looking figures though and I am delighted you have posted the link.lots of eye candy on thier website. :)

I second all the above.

However VSF is "fantasy" is there any rule what we include and what not?
They are lovely figures, sometime in the future they will be in my buying list, but to my taste I wouldnot include any of Hydras miniatures in my VSF armies, I am planning now.

In the meantime I would show another link with a mini that can be included:

It the flash the swashbuckler the fifth mini from top. I wish I could buy a couple of those!

I supoose it's all down to how you interpret VSF. In theory you can stick a bolier, smokestack and rivets on anything and call it VSF if it fits into your fantasy Victorian world,  it just might not be to everyones taste.

Me, I'm old fashioned and like my machines to be bulky, clumsy and unreliable. I suppose you could argue that if you convert something which looks fairly modern to VSF you could be stepping into the realms of steampunk or weird world war thingies.

Anyway lovely figs and I'll shut up now.
Don't!

I'm with you there VSF is essentially Victorian in the mould of HG Wells etc.. to my mind so bulky clunky etc... has to be the order of the day.

Yes, Mlalmute & Co have my vote, whilst the Hydra minis stuff is lovely, it is more Pulp-SF than VSF, IMO.

It's definitely more "Flash Gordon" than "War Of The Worlds".
