Dick Garrison Lives!

Glacially-slow painter that I am, I finally managed to do some work on my WSD Dick Garrison figures:

Dick "Flash Gordon" Garrison




Felicity "Dale Arden" Goodbody




Bases still need some finishing work, but otherwise they're pretty complete.


I'm also tinkering with Prince Borain, Kassiopia, Kang the Compassionless & Volsastratos. I'm kicking myself that I didn't avail myself of some Kang Guardsmen, Hawkmen, League of Nations Troopers & Disdians when I had the chance before WSD went offline.

Nicely done, I like Flash's red hair.

Thanks. His hair is meant to be more blonde than red, but it certainly looks red in the photograph...!

I used the recommended Foundry blonde triad (Ochre) but when it was done I thought it looked too brassy, so I toned it down with the new GW Gryphonne Sepia wash. I may have to re-visit it with a whiter highlight to get a blonder look.

The other challenge was getting enough of a highlight into Felicity's hair to make it dimensional without making it more grey than black. I think I succeeded reasonably well, but the photograph does flatten it out somewhat.

Rumors (on this forum) said that Wargames Supply Dump (WSD, the makers of Dick Garrison, et al) was due to go back into operation this month or next. If they do, you can bet I'm going to jump on some supplementary figures for my collection right away (what good is Kang the Compassionless without his hordes of minions, anyway...?).

We were due to be back now but among other things that have happened the computer has now died, it will not switch on, so we are unable to email some of the people who have contacted us about the miniatures. (as we can't get the email addresses) and we can't do a website either at the moment because of this.

Judging from the message about 3/4 posts above, i'd say Roger and WSD are back, its just that his website is currently FUBAR - if you are desperate for some of those lovely minis (and i can understand why, as i have a whole bunch of them myself), try his email address.

I emailed Roger a few weeks back and received this. WSD is open for business via email, and he hopes to have his website back up and running very soon. Also a restock on the few items not currently available.

Many thanks for your email, not sure when the website will be available, as still got to sort out the computer and the website details are held on it,and at the moment it will not switch on, I've got to book it into PC world to see if it can be fixed.
