A Very French Civil War

We ran ‘Bordeaux and Bullets’ a Very French Civil War scenario at SELWG at the weekend.  The scenario required the right-wing Camelots du Roi militia to  liberate Clochmele’s stock of Chateau Nef du Bouquet from the grasping hand of the left-wing militia, le Front Populare.  Scattered throughout the town were various civilians and any missed shot stood a chance of killing innocent civilians and nuns.  When civilian casualties reached a certain level the French Army would intervene to try and restore order.  To add to the confusion, the Wine Merchant and his chums were armed and determined to defend their cargo from all comers and the striking pissoir attendants included Evil-Eyed Emily who was a crack shot with her rifle.

The game ended with the right-wing militia, having loaded the wine into a commandeered bus, crashing under fire and blowing up the entire stock of wine, constituting a war crime in France and bringing the army in.

Excellent - a nice take on the "Very Civil War" genre. The table looks great and distinctly French.
