This is WW2 battle report rather old but I never published it in english.
The figures are from Artizan, BAM, BTD. The Vehicles from AGNM and FoA. The ATGuns from WestWind.
Summer 43, a german Kampfgruppe under command of Hauptsturmfürhrer Späten is ordered to assault a russian village to secure the crossroads (objective #1) and a hill (objective #2). The german force consists of 2 armoured platoon of panzergrenadiers supported by a platoon of 3 StugIII Ausf. G.The russian village is defended by a platoon of 4 infantry squads, 1 Maxim MMG, 2 Zis-3 AT Guns and a KV-1. All the soviet units are dug-in in prepared positions.

The german commander has divided his forces in 2 groups. The first platoon supported by the assault guns is going to move towards the hill and the village while the 2nd platoon is going to flank the soviet positions in order to capture the objective #1.

The main group reaches the wheat field but the 2nd platoon waits as the Obersturmführer Bröck trying to choose the best route.

The main group is now in the wheat field, 2 squads moving towards the woods while the 2 others followed by the 2 Stug III advance towards the village.

The gunner of the Sdfkz251/1 212 returns fire but he doesn't manage to hit anything while the platoon advances. The 2nd platoon stops again as the Obersturmführer Bröck hears the first battle sounds on his left.
Larger ImageThe soviet maxim is still firing at the german vehicle and finally hits it, starting a fire. The grenadiers can't stop it and begin to bailed out of the vehicle. The first ATGun in position behind the woods opens fire at the platoon leader vehicle, scoring a hit that kills all the grenadiers.

The remaining grenadiers though schocked by the death of their commander continue stubbornly to advance. While the fire in the 212 becomes a heavy one, the gunner continues to fire at the Maxim hitting the position but without wounds. The Sdffz251/1 213 fires at the Maxim but without success.
The StugIII 832 overtakes the burning Sdkfz251/1 and fires at the Maxim MG but misses it.
The squad of the 214 disembarks while the gunner fires at a dug-in soviet squad behind 2 houses, killing 2 soldiers.
The StugIII 833 opens fire at the same soviet squad but without success.

The StugIII 832 halts and fires at the Maxim killing all the soldiers. The Sdkfz251 212 cooks off killing 3 of them. The remaining grenadiers rout.
The Sdkfz251 213 moves towards the woods and the grenadiers disembark.
The StugIII 831 opens fire at the squad near the house killing 3 of them, but the soviets hold the line.

Turn 7
The AT Gun near the woods fires again at the StugIII 831 and hits it, killing the commander and disabling the main gun.
The squad continues to move towards the woods.
