Building Rivoli Battlefield part 2
« on: October 23, 2015, 09:41:55 PM »
Continuing the fun from Part 1: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=83734.0

More work done last night.

Carving Hills and Cliffs

Use a combo of tools, Razor knife, Stanley Sureform and a random orbital sander

Using garden bricks to weigh down board while glue dries

Sometimes we run out of bricks and use what is handy.

Carving the cliff face. Alternating angled cuts, both shallow and deep. Then just stabbing/hacking at it with a razor knife.

Very nice job.  I learned from your pictures to use bricks to keep a part down for glueing.  Simple but brilliant.  I was always using hand pressure for looking periods of time, or leaving it to chance!
