Bolt Action Miniatures 1:56th Sdkfz 222 Scout Car
« on: January 11, 2007, 09:39:48 PM »
I posted a quick little review of these BAM vehicles on my blog after I picked up a couple to use in convoy with my EBob 1:56th Opel Blitzes.

They're not too bad at all and should work well with the Ebob trucks and Artizan Design Germans for some great car chase scenarios across the desert...

The BAM Universal Carriers are tempting as well, although I'd have to use them for more serious WWII gaming rather than Pulp :)

I really like the detailled turret compared to the one-piece turret from AGNM/NZWM Sdkfz222.

1/56 vehicles work fine with 28mm figures.

Thanks for the review! It's a neat little car, and great for skirmish games. I appreciate your detailed look at it.

Heh, nice shots SgtPerry! It's only the fact the gents to the left don't have bases that gives them away ;)

It's not that clear from my photos I guess, but the BAM 222 comes with a couple of solid metal pieces to represent the wire mesh grenade guard. I'm probably going to try and rig up a system with plasticard tabs that means I can  drop them on top of the turret. As they are now you'd have to glue them on.

I can't take those things seriously any more, not since "Allo Allo."

I shall forever think of them as Lieutenant Gruber's "Little Tank."

Just a suggestion, but you could use the 1/48 ICM/Tamiya model...   I did..

There is a scratch build of that in one of the military modelling magazines this month, I cannot remember which one.
