I'm thinking campaign play, or perhaps using it as a "solution" in a un-winnable scenerio or alternative victory condition.

The question is how to balance and interact with the components. Reaching an objective allows you to turn one over perhaps? Killing a monster perhaps? There might be a list of conditions-

Looking at the elder things regenerate ability as a campaign/scenerio mechanism.

I like idea of things/clues you might find being undetermined/unknown until you flip them.  Sometimes you are best off not mucking about with strange things and might end up with more than you bargained for.  If there were a card system that might introduce "clues" that could be accumulated across adventures but additional cards thrown in the mix that might introduce new conditions or narrative elements.

Nice finds.  With stock colours like that I regret being so conservative with my choices.  The crystal portal with the tentacle reaching out looks really cool.

Getting ready for another round of projects...

This is a great gaming system... Would there be any intrest in documenting a campaign?

Although I don't get much time for gaming prep and AAR write-ups anymore due to my lack of concentration since my health issue last year.  I do enjoy reading AARs about other gamer's games and campaigns. So, YES, I would be interested.

Re: Mr West's Hidden Horrors (Updated 04 July; Lost in Carcosa...)

“This is the thing that troubles me, for I cannot forget Carcosa where black stars hang in the heavens; where the shadows of men's thoughts lengthen in the afternoon, when the twin suns sink into the lake of Hali; and my mind will bear for ever the memory of the Pallid Mask. I pray God will curse the writer, as the writer has cursed the world with its beautiful stupendous creation, terrible in its simplicity, irresistible in its truth--a world which now trembles before the King In Yellow.”

― Robert W. Chambers, The King in Yellow and Other Horror Stories

“I saw the lake of Hali, thin and blank, without a ripple or wind to stir it, and I saw the towers of Carcosa behind the moon. Aldebaran, the Hyades, Alar, Hastur, glided through the cloud-rifts which fluttered and flapped as they passed like the scolloped tatters of the King in Yellow.”

― Robert W. Chambers, The King in Yellow

“Have you seen The Yellow Sign?”

― Robert W. Chambers, The King in Yellow and Other Horror Stories

“Song of my soul, my voice is dead,
Die though, unsung, as tears unshed
Shall dry and die in
Lost Carcosa ”

― Robert W. Chambers

“for I knew that the King in Yellow had opened his tattered mantle and there was only God to cry to now.”

― Robert W. Chambers, The King in Yellow

The Wally special-  pic in front of foam. Lighting is pretty bad in my new basement workshop... I'll work on this.

In the future I'll try and do quotes of literature-

Very cool additions to your project.  The backdrop looks amazing, and the editing of the photos sets the atmosphere.  Some great looking models in Carcosa!

Thank you horrid person.... (fun to say.)

I'm warming up for possibly trying to do a well documented campaign on here. I needed a otherworldly protagonist to bring the pitch home. I'm hoping the king in yellow does it...
