28mm Black Panthers
« on: December 07, 2015, 11:23:10 PM »
"The Revolution has come! It's time to pick up a gun!"

I'm looking for mini's which would make good members of the Black Panther Party.

Preferably available from a UK retailer... Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure theres a few like that in the kiss kiss bang bang range
"Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows!"
"The weed of crime bears bitter fruit. Crime does not pay.... The Shadow knows!"

Surely you just need to look at adding some appropriate heads from the plastic kits that are out there to any of the figures from the KKBB/spy-fi lines available in the right period of clobber (Artizan and Copplestone KKBB, Killer B and Crooked Dice has quite a few too) and add a green stuff beret.
 ;)

I'd much prefer to find them ready for paint than faff around... I'm too busy!  :?

Hasslefree's Destiny:

Maybe Jim from the same range painted with suitable skin tones?

Killer B:

No leather jackets but there's a few of beret wearing types with suitable African heads in the Eureka ZANLA range. Actually, those would be a great source of heads to swap on WF plastics or anything else you care to. :

The WF plastic Survivors  have a couple of very nice African-American heads plus a trench coat body, shotguns and an M-1 Garand.

Reapers' Action Jackson and Cleo Greene? Maybe a bit too much of a Blaxploitation look for the Panthers but ...

One of our local LAFers made a nice female figure with a classic Afro/Black Power hairdo which I bought for my wife. Must paint it up some day.

Thanks Carlos, that HF Destiny is very Angela Brown...

Jim would work well too.

I'm not sure about the Killer B ones, the others are handy but like you say very Blaxploitation.  8)

I think you meant Angela Davis. It bears little resemblance to the soprano.  :)

Quite right, I've merged Angela Davis and Elaine Brown... for which that mini would suit both but not Angela Brown...
