Very nice, I just picked up that same guy from Eureka, I am hoping after LPL10 I can get my moderns mojo back.

I've added another update to the blog

http://willstoysoldiers.blogspot.ca/2016/02/state-of-insurgency.html

New things to see are two more compounds,

Various terrain bits

Some livestock

And an insurgent group photo!

Nice. I felt that too many 2 storey buildings would be over the top so I asked Battlefield Accessories to come up with a single storey compound, construction of which is underway.

On a recent visit to Eureka Miniatures, I grabbed a couple of his donkeys and a goat cart as well as a cart for one of the donkeys to pull. Interestingly, his donkey is the one from Schrek.
Cheers,

lol

I almost got the Shrek one too, but opted for the more sensible option.

Will Bailie - very fine additions. I like the colours.

Thanks for the comments.

Two-storey buildings are much more interesting both for modelling and gaming, but the reality is that there are more single-storey buildings.  What surprised me was how much faster the single-storey compound went together than the two-storey one!

Nic Robson has a package on its way to me right now, including the goat cart.  I'm looking forward to adding it to this project.  Overall, I'm more interested in the civilian part of this project (i.e., the background figures and terrain) than I am in anything to do with the conflict!

Yes, an interesting background in most docos, very different to what most Anglo Saxon backgrounds are used to.

I watched the first episode of Australia's War in Afghanistan tonight ( Australian ABC TV), some very interesting pics of towns and rural areas. I was particularly interested in the vehicles alonside the road as the military convoys moved throught. Lots of Taxis and vans.

The ANP were looking a bit outnumbered, so I've recruited some Border Police to support them.  Update on my blog at http://willstoysoldiers.blogspot.ca/2016/04/afghan-border-police.html

A few teaser photos:

And the combined Afghan Government Forces to date:

That's great. I picked up 2 of those recently, so I will use one as the taxi it is and convert the other one like yours.

Thanks for the comments, everyone!  I don't have any gaming time at all right now, so posting here is the only feedback I get (other than my wife saying "that's nice, dear"!).
