This is great. I usually skip the Moderns board, it's not my thing, but this is great. I to have had my eyes on those Eureka civvies for a while.

A great thing about the Afghanistan civilian pack is that, except for the chap with cell phone, they are a bit timeless so could be used for earlier periods.  And even converting the cell phone user would not be so much of a much!

I've added a mule cart:

Cart is a new (upcoming?) release from Eureka.  Slightly modified, as the driver is riding along rather than the one provided, and I've added a few tassels and pompoms to the mule.

No cargo yet, but I am considering a low-tech technical  lol

lol

And yet I'm thinking of extending the flat bed I have so it can hold exactly the same thing.

Where is your cart driver from, please?

The driver is from Eureka from the Afghan guerrilla casualty set   ;)

He looked relaxed enough to be driving the cart  :D

Finished a nice little hand cart.  Originally sold as the goat cart, I just felt it worked out better this way:

That's a nice little conversion.

Thanks!  Not so much of a conversion, as the bloke's arms were already right where they needed to be, so I just glued the cart in place.

After some time away, I finally have an update!  http://willstoysoldiers.blogspot.ca/2016/06/back-to-afghanistan.html

Family is out of town, so i had room to lay out the toys I've assembled to date.  I think the project is starting to get close to being something, but I see that I'll need to add some more terrain.  Suggestions welcome!

Got some snipers

LMGs

A (very) few casualties:

Plus more on the civilian side, with a couple of goat herders and their charges.  These guys are probably way too clean, considering the work they do...

And finally, a group shots of the insurgents

Nice to see the update, that is a fine looking village and inhabitants. Those Eureka figures have some great character, I picked some up on my last trip to Melbourne.
