Can I just say that if any of you painters involved in this meets an unfortunate end then I would appreciate the donation of your hearts to me so that I can eat them and take your painting powers.

Good thought, wrong part, ...perhaps...

Is it the eyes?

The hands?  Or just the dancin', dangly digits thereof?

The (oversized) liver?

The Lungs, Outsized, Deep Breaths For Holding, 2 ea?

The Noives, so's ya doant get dem shakes t'spoil th' details?

Tis obvious it isn't the Soul, those were clearly sold, long, long ago...

Fantastic entries this year, keep it up gentlemen (and ladies if present...).

I was slightly regretting not entering the fracas this year, right up until my appendix ruptured three weeks ago. I paint week to week and it would have knocked me out of even entering something, let alone compete!

Particiation in the LPL was not meant to be this year ;)

Great work- I've been enjoying being a spectator :)

Ruptured appendix - oooh very nasty. Glad to know you're alright Matt.
Maybe next year then  :)

Good news, you're well, Matt!

And yes, we're missing you and your entries this year  :'( I hope we see you next year again as productive and inventive as ever!

My round 8 entry is making good progress, and it is only Monday! I even dug out some figs for Round 9 and cleaned them up. I decided to not paint the Flint & Feather figs I had set aside for that round. In the words of Monty Python, and now, for something completely different...

I figured maybe you guys are getting tired of looking at tattoos and warpaint, so this will be a complete change of pace... lol

Good luck, everyone!

I have been enjoying them!  Looking forward to the KS when it launches as well.  My round 9 is done, just needs some matte spray.  Rounds 10 and 11 are in the assembly stage... though the buffer I had built myself for the last two rounds is starting to dwindle a bit!

Bahaha!  lol lol lol

I've begun my Round 9 this evening, too. Paycheck to paycheck, hand to mouth, whatever you want to call it when you have only the week between submitting the upcoming round's photos on Thursday and the following Thursday to get them done.

This is definitely the part of LPL I call "the grind"... :D

My fondest memory of LPL was when -- to get the final round finished -- I had to set my alarm clock to get up every 2 hours to paint some more, let it dry, set the alarm clock... o_o

And, what the heck, for flashback sake, here was the result of a redeye night of painting and photographing before the deadline that next morning..."Frog Gigging Gone Wrong!"

Hmm...looking at that makes all the stress and madness worth it, right...? Right??  lol
